Information for new patients
It is very important to us at Battery Point Dental Practice that we offer our patients the highest standard of care right from your very first appointment. To help us with this, we will provide you with a Medical History form and a Confidential Dental History form to complete at your earliest convenience. We ask that once completed, you return them in the reply-paid envelope that we provided. They will then be added to your file, allowing the dentist to familiarise themselves with all your details prior to meeting you in person.

Appointment times
Our appointment hours are from 8.00am to 4.45pm Monday, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, as our schedule is busy, we recommend you schedule your treatment sufficiently in advance. If you are unable to attend your appointment, 24 hours notice is required to enable us to offer the appointment to other patients. In the case of an emergency the practice is able to provide treatment or advice after hours.
Accounts and payments
At Battery Point Dental Practice we accept cash, cheques or electronic payments. We require payment on the day of treatment. Fee estimates for work required will be issued following initial examination.
Why we are not Preferred Providers
Battery Point Dental Practice does not engage in Preferred Provider arrangements. This is because we strongly believe that the process of clinical decision-making should be influenced only by what is in the best interest of you the patient, rather than by the vagaries of private health fund rules. Furthermore it is a basic right of any individual to see a dentist of their choosing – not to be limited to those dentists who have decided to align themselves with private health fund organisations.
Parking and Wheelchair Access
Street parking is usually available in Battery Point, but please be mindful there are varied time zones. The practice has removable wheelchair ramps to the front door of the practice which we can set up prior to your arrival on request.
